The Student Union Building strives to be a center of academic stimulation, relaxation, and dining for Truman's campus.
Various activities, meetings, and discussions take place in the SUB on a daily basis, all listed on Virtual EMS. Audio-visual equipment and media is available to checkout, along with technologically furnished rooms thanks to the SUB Technology Project. Student organizations also have publicity tables in the SUB to showcase their activities.
The SUB also provides students with a place for studying or quiet discussion in the Hub and cafeteria. Students can also enjoy a variety of dining choices at Mainstreet Market, or a small, delicious snack at Jazzman’s Café or Freshëns Smoothie Company. The campus bookstore is located on the bottom level of the SUB.
Numerous sources of information for students and visitors is available in the SUB, such as maps, student publications such as the Index, national publications (The New York Times, US Today), bulletin boards, the Student Senate Info Board, Student Activities Board news and events, and the Information Center.
Many campus offices, student organizations, and Sodexo offices are located in the SUB. For a detailed list, click here.
The Student Union also provides ATMs, vending machines, and a copier & fax machine, all for public use.
